Is KNX required for every automation job?
No. KNX is the right backbone for many villas and commercial floors; some smaller retrofits use mixed stacks. We will say so on survey rather than force a bus the building cannot support.
Can you integrate with an existing BMS?
Yes, where the BMS vendor exposes a supported interface. Energy monitoring and scene control are specified as part of the same design pack.
